Background
During the summer of 2019 I had to chance to complete a 16-week internship at the Ontario Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities (MTCU) under the Finance Analysis Systems Support Branch (FASSB) in Toronto. While there, I got to work on several projects, although my main focus was to work alongside a team to help develop an intranet site for the branch. I also took on the challenge to create enticing visuals for the intranet too.
Key Takeaways
This process was very exciting, I learned a lot about creating a consistent brand image. I was also able to explore a more iterative creative process due to the time available for the project. Through this experience I learned how to juggle varying projects with varying deadlines. These designs led me to other illustration opportunities, for example, I was asked to create an illustration for a baby shower that was being held for the director.
